Social networking is definitely the flavor of this generation. It is being used as the major mode of communication by many all around the globe. Just look at the kind of money some of the social networking sites have managed to make in a very short period of time. That is how big a hit the social networking sites have become. Well, there are been many a social networking sites that have come and gone. But none has been as successful as the Facebook social networking site as managed to. On that note, we should accept its not going to be that easy to topple the giant like Facebook for a new social networking site.

Google+ is the latest offering from Google after their orkut, buzz, etc. Google definitely has put in a lot of thought in coming up with something unique, so that people who are crazy about social networking will go crazy for it, all over again. Even though the initial burst has been looking positive for Google+, people in the trade say it's not going to be easy for Google+ to give any competition to Facebook. That is because Google+ looks almost similar to facebook in all aspects, with some minor changes, except for the video calling facility that Google+. But that not going to help them in a big way, unless and until they come up with some very unique applications, that will make people to turn towards them. Until then, Google+ will only be a replica of Facebook and nothing more than that.
